His Royal Highness received the address with the greatest affability; and condescended to make the following gracious answer:- ” GENTLEMEN, “I beg to return you my best thanks for this address. Be assured I feel a lively interest in whatever regards the propserity of this place; and will ever promote its welfare, as far as lies in my power”.
